Each section of the building project with its own spatial quality also has its own basic structure in the planning of the outdoor facilities. These are design elements that are not repeated in any of the other areas and thus clearly define the space and give it uniqueness.
On the pedestrian level, the design focus of the outdoor space is a sequence of squares. The outdoor space is not captured as a whole by the building heights. The surfaces form a calm and warm base with a light yellow concrete block.
The "passage" is marked by columnar oaks set in raised corten steel planters. The southern space is dominated by a moving "hedge sculpture" of individual planes forming leaning hedge bodies. White-stemmed birch trees contrast this sculpture, especially in winter. The parking lot at the old building of the former police headquarters forms a special signet in the overall concept as a "red square".
The "pole forest" of 600 grey alders develops into an expressive collection of trunks, while the crowns combine to form a forest-like roof.
