Green cross The park in the new railway town of opladen

In Leverkusen, a new district is being created on the site of the former railway repair works - the "neue bahnstadt opladen".
Since 2012, we have been allowed to participate in the realization of the 1st prize from the cooperative urban planning competition. The author of the design is the consortium B.A.S. Kopperschmidt Moczala GmbH, Dortmund with WGF, Nuremberg and the engineering office Kühnert, Berkamen (traffic planning).

We have taken over the services of the work phases 6 to 8 HOAI for four construction phases of the Green Cross on behalf of B.A.S. Kopperschmidt Moczala in the past four years.

The existing open spaces with a valuable stock of trees were further developed into an attractive public park with numerous play and sports facilities and generous meadow areas.

Historic structures such as a brick wall on the side of the central railway track or the over 100-year-old supports of the former station hall were carefully restored and are now important components of the new park. Since June 2016, the last construction phase, the "green corridor south of the university of applied sciences", has now also been completed. A football pitch and a skate park complete the wide range of uses and attractive facilities for all age groups.
