The former wasteland in the center of Trudering was used as a public green and compensation area. Valuable trees form the core of the compensation areas.

The new use was thus embedded and primarily serves the leisure activities of local residents. Framed between buildings, gardens and groves of trees, the area is located in a protected, green environment. A spacious, curved footpath leads to the green space and closes the gap in the network of paths between Michael-Seidl-, Truderinger- and Wasserburger Landstraße.

The central element is a large playground with four areas for small children (up to 3 years) and older children (up to 12 years). A variety of play equipment encourages a wide range of activities and promotes social contact, sensory experience and personal development. The rectangular sand and trickle areas are offset next to each other in the greenery and are connected by paved or water-bound paths. Linear hedges, cover shrubs and wall elements further structure the play area. Seating in the sun and in the shade of the trees increases the quality of the space.

A large open meadow to the north offers space to run around and play. Native deciduous trees provide shade and contribute to a good microclimate. The compensation areas will be planted with grove-like vegetation, the dense tree line-up of which dissolves towards the public green space and creates a natural, informal atmosphere.
