At Olivaer Platz, the history of the eponymous location is combined with the real situation of a Berlin urban space. In prominent proximity to Kurfürstendamm, surrounded by urban square edges with stores, cafés and restaurants, the site is to become a spacious, versatile neighborhood park again.
The canopy of existing and newly planted trees forms compact edges and opens up to a free and sunny center. Seating areas in the shade, a variety of shrub beds, play elements and a water basin at the park café form the interior of the new green space. As a reminiscence of the town of Oliva, of the Kashubian love of small decorations, a delicate wickerwork of a floral quatrefoil is used as the floor covering.
