As part of the Bayreuth State Garden Show, a water playground was designed directly on the banks of the Red Main. The renaturation of the watercourse provided the opportunity to create a special play area in the shallow water of a river bend. This is inspired by the theme of fossils, which can be found in the rock formations along the river valley. Nothosaufus, tassel splashes and jumping snails are sculptural play objects with diverse characters and functions, which also correspond to the dynamics of the water. After a flood, the "fossil islands" are covered by river sediment and must then be "rediscovered".
