Between Stadtgrabenpromenade, the street "Am Pulverturm" and the garden and playground facilities of the St. Bonifatius church community, the newly designed open space "Am Pulverturm" is developing.

The goal of the planning is to take into account the following things from the results of the workshop on the design of the area and the landscape architectural possibilities:
-fantastic, diverse and attractively designed playground for children of different age groups
-harmonious transitions especially of the moat promenade into the open space, but also of the
adjacent uses (St. Bonifatius parish, bicycle path "Am Pulverturm")
-plaza for citizens with beautiful planting to stay and consecrate
-open design of the approx. 3500m ² large facility (charming view over the open space to the church and the
church buildings and the surrounding trees).

Performance phases 1 - 7, participation process, workshop, artistic overall construction management, development of play facilities.

With the "dash" and the columnar oaks as the leading tree of the Stadtgraben promenade, the Stadtgraben has long since developed in a rectangular form into the promenade with an attractive town square and a play area. Here, the square opens and marks the entrance situation of the complex. A high-quality planting and benches invite citizens to linger. The playground is primarily designed for smaller children in the age group 3-8. A sandpit with slide and a water-slush system are the play elements of this space. Benches for supervisors are located directly next to it.

In the shade of the plane trees along the street "Am Pulverturm" a wedge-shaped play hill rises from the lawn, which takes up the historical reference to the former ramparts of Lingen. Different ascent and descent options and a large castle complex with various annexes offer the older children 6 - 12 opportunities for imaginative group and role play, to balance, romp around and measure their own strengths and abilities.

To the north, the approximately 2 metre high rampart drops steeply and merges into a flat rectangular lawn. This central play lawn offers space for various ball, group and circle games (volleyball, fireball, badminton, football, pack etc.). From the rampart of the castle the games can be observed very well. To the north, the meadow area merges into an orchard. The theme of the gardens is taken up by fruit trees and hammocks.

A swing should not be missing on any playground. It is located in the transition to the gardens of St. Boniface Parish.

The main access to the facility is via Platz. Traffic-safe side entrances are located along the street "Am Pulverturm" and from the moat promenade.
