Alley cycle path from Wetter to Gevelsberg

The Alleenradweg leads along the former route of the Elbschetalbahn (Elbe Valley Railway) almost without ascents through the topographically varied surroundings from Wetter to Gevelsberg. Detached from car traffic, the former single-track railway line runs over 2 viaducts and through 2 tunnels parallel to the country roads and is the link between the Ruhrtalradweg and the "Nordbahntrasse" in Wuppertal, which is still under construction. The expansion of the cycle path takes place in three construction phases.
The first section of the circuit "From Ruhr to Ruhr" with a length of 3.8 kilometers, which is located between Wengern and Albringhausen, is already passable.
