The city park offers local recreation for the citizens of Lauchheim and makes it possible to experience the Jagst river in the city area again.
In addition to its function as a local recreation area for citizens and visitors, the city park also creates a connection between the city center and the "Rotes Feld" construction area.
The Jagst was widened in the area of the city park and made experiencable by a bridge and bouncy stones. Seating steps in the riverbank area also provide recreational areas for larger groups, e.g. as a green classroom.
In the design of the city park, attention was paid to creating diverse and cross-generational offerings, such as a chess and boules pitch, fitness equipment, a ground trampoline and a slackline. For this reason, all paths have been made barrier-free. Various seating options with benches, bench-table combinations and also sun loungers allow for different recreational areas. Also the newly established public WLAN provides an additional attraction of the park.
About information boards knowledge about the existing hydroelectric power plant, but also the peculiarity of the natural environment - the Jagst as a body of water and the fish that live in it, conveyed.
For greening meadow mixtures were sown and shrubs, high trunks and fruit trees planted.
The city park in Lauchheim was funded through the LEADER funding program of the EU.
