In 2015, the bdla awarded the German Landscape Architecture Prize for the 12th time. The eight-member jury did justice to the quality of the 127 entries admitted to the competition by awarding two first prizes and five commendations in the main category as well as four special prizes.

One first prize went to the "UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site Lorsch Monastery", design author: TOPOTEK 1 Gesellschaft von Landschaftsarchitekten mbH, Berlin, client: Administration of State Palaces and Gardens of Hesse, City of Lorsch. Another first prize went to the "Park am Gleisdreieck", design author: Atelier LOIDL Landschaftsarchitekten, Berlin, client: Land Berlin, represented by Grün Berlin GmbH.
Special prizes were awarded to exemplary projects in the categories "Infrastructure and Landscape", "Living Environment", "Sustainable Outdoor Facilities" and "Light in Open Spaces".
The German Landscape Architecture Award 2015 was sponsored by Bruns-Pflanzen-Export GmbH & Co. KG, ComputerWorks GmbH, Philips GmbH, Lighting Division, Rinn Beton- und Naturstein GmbH & Co. KG as well as by the Bundesverband Garten-, Landschafts- und Sportplatzbau BGL, the Deutscher Mieterbund and the GdW Bundesverband deutscher Wohnungs- und Immobilienunternehmen.
