AppreciationGerman Landscape Architecture Award 2009

Jury verdict: The designers have succeeded in subtly differentiating the urban ground into two pavement structures and colours, making it possible to experience the historical conditions in the urban space. A clear decision to reduce the design-determining elements in paving, bench and water creates a clear image for the new town square. The purist design language sets fine accents and leaves enough room for the historic buildings in their appearance.

The design wins on all levels through an appropriate choice of materials, good proportions and an excellent quality of execution. A work with a high atmospheric claim.
