Jewish cemetery Weißensee
Gravestones in the change of times (1900-2012 )
In Weißensee there were a large number of graves with elaborately designed architecture and edgings made of iron art casting. Today, only a few examples of late 19th century iron art remain in the cemetery, as these metal works - as in other cemeteries - were scrapped during the actions to bolster metal reserves for the war economy of 1942/43.
