Design of the entrance, path and playground areas of a residential complex in the Hamburg district of Farmsen-Berne, in a residential area dominated by apartment buildings. The playground areas are located along existing residential and access routes in the housing estate.

The existing playgrounds mainly contained playground equipment that was no longer intact or no longer met current safety requirements. An existing football field no longer met the functional and contemporary requirements. Both areas are characterized by large, valuable tree population.

To create a special identity, the playground refers to the theme "Stone Age". As a play offer a movement course is produced. The installation aims in particular at the promotion of the movement motor activity and supply of haptic experiences.

For the inclusion of the neighbourhood inhabitants the final development of the installation took place in a workshop for residents, parents and children under guidance of the artist. The result was preserved as a model and exhibited to the public. For the inauguration of the playground, a "stone building site" was held, where children could work on and design the sandstones of the course under the guidance of the artist.

Another component of the new planning is a "wall barrier" made of sandstone, which integrates a jumping stone, as well as a "gate slide". The latter is formed from stainless steel, gate-like positioned mammoth teeth, through which a Y-slide runs. The construction of the Y-slide gives the impression of a possible collision when sliding, which is not confirmed by the parallel slide recesses in the lowest section, creating an extraordinary moment of excitement and sliding experience for the user.

The entire area was furnished with benches and bollards and thus offers the possibility of a stay close to the house in addition to the play function.
