Parish Garden Interpretation of old structures

The parish garden is based on historical traces and structures. While preserving these structures, five newly interpreted parts of the garden were created, opening up a variety of places and perspectives for the user. It is enclosed on all sides by natural stone walls and structured on the inside by wall relics and former stables. A central level along the entire length of the garden provides access to the rectory and all parts of the garden. A rebuilt dry stone wall serves as a spatial framework. Several seating areas provide alternating views into the parsonage garden.

The entry courtyard with walnut tree serves as a spacious, open reception area. It leads to the front access to the house, or - invited by the builder - directly into the garden.

To the side of the axis is a small hedge garden with boxwood strips and flowering organ in between.
Above lies a meadow planted with old fruit varieties. A flowering border at the base of the wall adds dimension to the cemetery wall. As a reminiscence of the old Allmend garden, a small garden section was designed - with box hedges and old edgings - which mediates between the public space and the garden and, together with the refurbished wooden picket fence, creates distance.
