The original intention of placing the Alexanderkirche as dominantly as possible and exposed on the hillside, while seeking a direct relationship to the Annakapelle on the historic Kirchweg, is today only barely discernible in the grown-up centre of Wallenhorst. The unmistakable figure of Wallenhorst's centre is St. Alexander's Church resting on a mountain throne. This image has to be worked out more clearly. The topographical play is staged in concise terracing and accessible with generous accompanying ramps.

Small greenery is reduced in favor of the exemption of the prominent old tree population. Instead, solitaires make their pilgrimage along the historic church path in the direction of the church.
The relationship between the Anna Chapel and the Alexander Church, which has been intended since the beginning, is established with a set of steps. The carefully stepped church square with the green terraces of the Kirchberg can thus be experienced as a central place of local life. Instead of a competing "Guten Stube", further small-scale street squares with outdoor gastronomic offerings will be established, thus creating a lingering and experience landscape spanning the centre.
