Development of a hillside property with a height difference of around 20 metres from the road access to the end of the garden behind the dwelling house on the woodland boundary.
The residential building can be reached via an approx. 110 metre long unpaved driveway, which was visually screened from the neighbouring properties with a required compensatory planting.
Planning idea is the continuation of the existing native planting in horticulturally modified forms, such as hedges, umbrella and bonsai forms in the immediate vicinity of the house. Plantings used include Acer campestre, Amelanchier lamarckii, Carpinus betulus, Cornus mas, Taxus baccata and others.
Only the garden areas directly adjacent to the terrace are horticulturally designed and slowly transition into the landscape in terms of form.
In the area of the outdoor facilities, the greywacke material used by the architects in parts of the façade was taken up and continued in paving and slab surfaces as well as retaining walls.
The natural stone is complemented by anthracite-coloured chippings.
