The new square is located in the centre of a historic and listed building ensemble in the direct vicinity of Bad Nauheim railway station. With the newly emerging quarter at Goldstein and the access to Goldsteinpark, it will in future represent a central linking point in the urban fabric, especially during the State Garden Show, when it will act as a stepping stone between the two garden show areas. The central axis of the square marks the pedestrian connection to the old town and extends the railway station underpass with a new lift to the square area in front of the old laundry, which is higher up and inviting to linger. The old tree population of chestnut trees framing the square was preserved and re-staged by raised lawns. The Golden Stone in direct visual relation to the railway station refers as a quotation to the new quarter at Goldstein.
