In 2008, the open space at the Kunsthalle Bielefeld was restored according to original drawings by the American architect Philip Johnson from 1968 and reopened as a sculpture park.

An elegant 70 m long water basin as a mirror for the striking museum building, curved park paths and contemporary furniture open up the public and intensively used green space in the center of the city for art lovers and strollers
- face en face with artworks by Olafur Eliasson, Sol LeWitt, Henry Moore and Thomas Schütte.
