Neuberg School Primary and secondary school, Neckarsulm

In the course of a complete renovation of the Neubergschule primary and secondary school, the outdoor facilities were also redesigned.

To relieve the pressure on the access road, a kiss-and-ride zone was placed in front of the school. The space between the two school buildings forms a generous schoolyard area, which was equipped with various playable seating options in the peripheral areas.
From the schoolyard area, one enters the play area to the north, which adapts to the existing topography like a terrace. To form independent play areas, structuring hedges were pushed between the individual terraces.
The existing tree population was integrated into the new layout. Differentiated play and seating elements made of wood and concrete form a variety of places for movement and retreat. The schoolyard is not closed off, so that the facility can also be used as a public playground.
