Park along the Finow Canal | Eberswalde Leibniz Quarter

The Leibniz Quarter stretches for over 800 m between three bridges on the northern edge of the Finow Canal. We have upgraded the Finow bank to a riverside park with a selected landscape architectural repertoire. Three intensively designed areas are juxtaposed with two extensive ones.
The intensive areas of the park include the three bridges, which also serve as entrances to the park and as meeting points. In addition, several footbridges were constructed as waterfront lounges.
The new Terrace Garden is the core area of the park. A play with the means of terrain modelling and the targeted use of vegetation structures allowed a place to meet, play and camp to emerge.
The two extensive park segments are very different in their open space character. The athmosphere of the western segment is determined by a very dense tree population and a clear height difference. In the eastern segment there are open, spacious plateaus.
