The goal of the open space concept is to connect the different neighborhoods housing and services. A positive aspect is the accommodation of the stationary traffic in underground garages. Thus, the newly created quarter is free of car traffic.

The quarter square is the center of this new area. It presents itself as a generous, open space and serves as a meeting point and multifunctional area for visitors and residents of the new quarter. The rectangular inlay of the light-colored, water-bound cover is surrounded by an anthracite-colored paving.

The topography of the square is bordered on the eastern side by a set of steps, forming an exciting square relief. The string trees, set in a grid pattern, form a light tree canopy over the square with their open free growing crowns. In the southern part of the square there is a play area. The built cubic figures here take up the formal language of the surrounding buildings. Thus the play area integrates itself into the homogeneous design of the square. The children can use the elements for climbing, balancing and swinging. For toddlers, a sand area is integrated.

On the square, benches invite you to linger. The car-free zone creates a free space for children and adults, which conveys peace and freedom of movement.

The garden area of the senior center offers a spacious wooden terrace and a sensory garden with the possibility of movement and offers to rest. Three raised beds feature fragrant perennials planted with small-crowned bubble trees. A water element offers a visual and acoustic enrichment in the garden.

South adjoins the garden of the day care center to the garden of the senior center. Here there is the possibility of an exchange between the generations. In the shade of the green pergola seating is provided. The garden area of the KITA is divided into three areas. The green lawn with a walnut tree is flanked by two playgrounds. Directly adjacent to the building is the area for toddlers with a sand play area and a water feature. The third field is equipped with climbing and swinging elements. Directly in front of the building is a multifunctional paved terrace area.
