The unique selling point of the Kneipp spa in Bad Schmiedeberg is the Kneipp therapy center. In the indoor Kneipp area, in addition to the classic water treatments, the plants on which Kneipp's herbal therapy is based, most of which are indigenous, are on display all year round. These plants are cultivated in a greenhouse so that guests are surrounded by flowering herbs such as St. John's wort or sage in the Kneipp garden even in winter. The interior of the therapy center is a light-flooded garden, which is air-conditioned all year round and therefore invites guests to enjoy Kneipp treatments even when the outside temperature is low. The planting combines the 'Kneipp plants' with Mediterranean plants in raised beds.
