The construction of an extension for the Institute of Colloids and Interfaces is planned on the Max Planck Campus. As part of the construction of the buildings, the outdoor facilities also have to be redesigned and the pathways adapted to the new access conditions. During the design phase, we took up the existing structures and further developed existing elements and integrated them into the new design. The central square is easily accessible from different directions. Barrier-free access is also guaranteed via the pathways. In order to maintain the impression of a spacious green area, the radius areas required in this area for the fire department and occasional deliveries are made of gravel turf.
