Sustainable use of resources illustrated by typical low mountain landscapes - this is the short form of the exhibition contribution of the state of NRW to the Dutch Garden Show. The 2,450 square metre exhibition area is located in a central square in the "Environment" plot.
The contribution consists of a pavilion which is itself part of the environment modelled with hills and valleys. Its elevations are up to five meters high; the space in between meanders through the landscape like a stream. Sometimes it is an access path and sometimes, in a widening, a place to linger and explore the contents of the exhibition. On the slopes are benches, a climbing wall, a relaxation hill and a grandstand for "open air" events. Large parts of the building and landscape are made of wood. The plantings run uniformly in rows perpendicular to the direction of travel. Products and services of all branches of the gardening profession are presented here.
