Residential environment Sickinger Straße Kaiserslautern

For Bau AG Kaiserslautern, L.A.U.B. planned the redesign of the open spaces of an existing residential development.
An attractive open space with representative green areas was created on an area of approx. 4,000 m².

During the redesign, large areas were unsealed and at the same time new access roads and garage parking spaces were created. The new garages were extensively planted with sedum shoots.
Barrier-free paths, illuminated with LED bollards, provide access to the apartments on the ground floor. The terraces (formerly balconies) were designed with light-colored concrete slabs and enclosed with a gabion fence.
In front of the building complex are generous lawns with individual trees. Year-round attractive perennial beds with specimen trees on the buildings increase the quality of living sustainably.
For children, a play area with sandbox and seesaw animal was created.
For the ecological retention and infiltration of rainwater was provided.
