On a property in the Sulzbacher street, Amberg, is planned to establish a car wash.
For the construction of a hall as a car wash with traffic areas to the bypass it is necessary to clear woody plants. This concerns above all the narrow wood strip along the Sulzbacher Stra-ße. However, also along the eastern property border it is necessary for traffic safety reasons to cut back or remove trees.
Because of the existing woody structures on or in the perimeter of the property, the occurrence of species protected under European law or strictly protected species is to be expected. Due to these predicted occurrences, a preliminary assessment is necessary for the special species protection law examination.
It is examined to what extent species protected under European law or strictly protected species are affected by the intervention (clearing of copses), and which measures are to be taken, if necessary, so that this is not the case.
To the east of the site there is an embankment facing the Vils and the railway line, respectively, which is covered with an approximately 50 to 80 year old tree population consisting mainly of maple (Acer platanoides and Acer pseudoplantanus), ash (Fraxinus excelsior), birch (Betula pendula), horse chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum), lime (Tilia spec.) and poplar (Populus spec.). Some of these trees have been pruned back in the past. Tree cavities have formed at intersections in some cases. The trees are rich in intergrowth. Deadwood is present. A narrow strip of these woody plants is located on the planned site.
Bird species, in particular cavity-nesting forest bird species and bats are examined for construction, plant and operational impact factors / impact processes of the planned plant.
