The strictly geometric triangular ground plan of the school is playfully joined - as if thrown in - by smaller open space elements that create small-scale play areas for the children.
In the large schoolyard, the landscape architects had to manage the trick of accommodating the required traffic training garden of 40 x 60 m for traffic education in such a way that it can fulfil its function, but does not look like a barren traffic area. Asphalt should indeed serve as recognition material of the street. But coloured through with coloured zebra stripes and arrows the traffic garden gets a more playful character.
Integrated into an undulating seating wall are a school garden, play niches for quiet play and a climbing net. The wall also separates the playground from the adjacent outdoor sports facilities. In the east, an adventure jungle made of peeled robinia trunks awaits brave conquerors (climbing forest). Naturally - sculpturally they form a logical continuation of the adjacent forest.
Before the ground-floor classrooms, a tree trail and a stone information with mud-loam trough has been created in the south. Here, the natural stones commonly used in Bavaria were installed and labeled accordingly (natural stone archive).
