The former site of the company Furnierwerke Kohl has a good connection to the B 27 federal highway (Veitshöchheimer Straße) and offered very good conditions for the new construction of the DHL logistics center.
The construction project is located in the "Mainfränkische Platten" natural area and in the "Mittleres Maintal" natural unit.
According to Paul Seibert - Schriftenreihe für Vegetationskunde (Bad Godesberg 1968), the potential natural vegetation in the plan area is formed by the vegetation area (N4b) Christophskraut-Waldgersten-Buchenwald in a complex with sedge-beech forest and in places with Schwalbenwurz-Sommerlinden-Blockwald and vegetation of forest-free dry sites.
The landscape structure in the vicinity of the plan area is characterized by the surrounding commercial and industrial enterprises.
