The zero:e park residential construction project in the south-west of the state capital Hanover is currently Europe's largest innovative climate protection development. Around 300 highly energy-efficient terraced, semi-detached and detached single-family homes are being built. The area on the outskirts of Hanover, which was previously used intensively for agriculture, is being developed to high urban planning and ecological standards and its design is being upgraded.

The elements of decentralized rainwater retention and infiltration will become part of the private gardens and the high-quality landscaped park. The design of the public green space with 3 play areas for children and young people was developed together with the children from the new neighborhood and the existing settlement. As part of the Living Neighborhood initiative, residents were constantly informed about the status of the planning and networked with each other as a new neighborhood. This ensured that a sustainable and needs-based design and its gradual implementation was successful. In an integrated planning process, specialist expertise in urban planning, water management, civil engineering and landscape architecture was pooled. The consistent implementation of sustainability-oriented standards had a positive impact on the marketing period.
