Bardelebenplatz, Kassel

Vereinigte Wohnstädte 1889 eG is making room! With the redesign of Bardelebenplatz, an attractive residential environment is being created on an area of 6000 square meters. The rededication of the public space into a communal area of the 1889 eG was used for targeted upgrading measures

to improve the residential environment in the Kirchditmold district.



There will be 60 parking spaces, a new central waste disposal building, play and recreation areas and a barrier-free path link to Kasselfeld. The large representative plane trees of the 7000 oaks Gesamtkunstwerk have been preserved despite considerable structural interventions. The construction work was completed in May 2012 and the square was handed over to the residents with a flower festival.
