SCHOOL BURGUNDY WAY Hamburg 2010 - Completion

The new schoolyard areas are increasingly used for sports and play activities. A clear design structures the paved areas and ensures optimal usage possibilities. Dark paving stones are set in a light paved area in different grids and patterns. In this way, the children of the Grundungerweg primary school are offered a course for active breaks and areas for bouncy games. The realised planting takes into account native woody plants with flowering and fruiting aspects and provides colour accents in the green structure during the course of the year. Ground-covering and shade-tolerant shrubs, perennials and grasses or ferns complement the planting and take up the existing forest character of this site.
