Redesign of the outdoor facilities in the course of a kindergarten conversion

The existing three-group kindergarten (Ü 3) was rebuilt and extended by an additional crèche group (U 3). In this course, the outdoor facilities could also be reorganized and redesigned.

In this context, the existing play area south of the existing group rooms was renewed n and additionally the southwestern pavement area (currently parking and entrance, approx. 150 m²) was converted into an open space for the crèche planned there. The northern functional and garden areas were also included in the renovation, whereby a partial area is still to be produced here as a play area for the kindergarten (Ü 3).

Due to the very limited outdoor area and the close relationship to the building, a clear architectural spatial division results. The open and play areas are located directly to the south of the group rooms and are enclosed courtyard-like by a green privacy fence and protected from the street space.
The group rooms are assigned paved group terraces, which are continuously connected to each other by the uniform (open joint) paving.

This is adjoined by a courtyard area made of water-bound pavement with fine scattering, which as an open center gives free space for changing activities (and as an area for festivals).
