The use of the children's playground has a long history at this location. The playground Lisztstrasse was created in the wake of the establishment of the neighboring public institutions 'Gymnasium Altona' (Bj.1882) and 'Altonaer Children's Hospital' (Bj.1859) and the residential development emerging until the 1930s.
After 1945, the 'Action Children's Paradise' began here, which established throughout Hamburg on about 20 different playgrounds day care. The last design of the playground was from the 50s and is already partially furnished for the action.
The redesign takes various facilities and modernizes them - even the water pool was upgraded and made usable again for the summer months. The permanent presence of the day care center thus has positive effects for the entire neighborhood.
The play facilities were designed for heavy use by the adjacent school - which covers its break function via these areas.
A generous climbing landscape and a basketball area round out the offerings.
