ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AM REESENBÜTTEL New primary school at Reesenbüttel in Ahrensburg

The goal was to locate the playground equipment and the desired play spaces in the courtyard and to find a motto for the desired playscape.

It was a matter close to our hearts to involve the students and to work out the prioritized class ideas in a joint workshop. The result: It should be possible to play around the school, with a yellow pavement flash around the new building. The motto: Adventure Schoolyard.

Three play areas take up almost all the play facilities from the wish catalogue of participation. Two large play areas were created in the large courtyard. In the southern area a large play equipment combination developed from the plane tree grove into the sun - everything meanders and winds in several stories: whether slide, steel bars, wooden tangles, nets - playing in 3D!

The play platforms under the plane tree crowns are at different heights from seat height to about 1.80 meters and are all designed pentagonal. They are part of the play area, whereas the first row of sycamore trees have had benches placed on their feet and form a place of their own.

Along the northern gable end, the yellow paving flash wraps around into the eastern, smaller courtyard. Here, in addition to the play area with equipment, there is a bouldering wall and a seating circle. Enough quiet for concentration on climbing and seclusion for learning in open space.
