The concept examines the mobility of older people in their everyday use of paths within a high-density urban space in Altona-Altstadt. It is about the design of the space for movement that older people need to be able to move safely and independently in green spaces. The aim was to locate the type and extent of disturbances on the paths of everyday care and to design their improvement.
Involvement also plays an important role in this expert opinion: here, the approaches of the study were examined together with residents at every step and - where necessary - further developed. The result is an inventory analysis that describes the most important routes within the neighbourhood with their special features and restrictions.
The concept of measures leads the grievances to a development concept that is divided into three time stages.
