The existing situation is largely determined by the linear element of the Herrengartenteich, as it were the backbone of the park, which extends from north to south and charmingly sets the scene for the manor house.
The preceding thinning with a "golden axe" exposed prominent large-crowned trees. The picturesque "ash harp" is a prominent example. The newly created pathways correspond with the sequence of individual subspaces and give the park a striking appearance. This is also underlined by extensive planting measures with trees, solitary shrubs, ground covers and bulbous plants. "Lawn waves" contrast the open sections and paths in a playful way. Charming focal areas such as the boules and play area, as well as the new rose garden in view of the mansion, the bridge plaza, and the rhododendron grove near the fruit meadow in the eastern part of the park add special touches.
The park has opened up to new groups of visitors, delighting young and old throughout the year. With the redesign of this central public green space, an attractive park has been created that strengthens Stockelsdorf as a place to live and reside and has an impact far beyond.
