Wellensiekplatz forms the central hub of the transport infrastructure to develop and connect the new northern university campus. In accordance with the design manual developed for the master plan, Wellensiekplatz is divided in its
design, Wellensiekplatz is integrated into the string of pearls between the ENUS forecourt of the university and the forecourt of the university of applied sciences to the north. The six-metre-high and twelve-metre-wide campus gate marks the central transition between the north and south campuses and connects them to the Bielefeld campus.
