The Landesgartenschau exhibition is to be understood as a kind of "journey through time" through the historical stages of the Hubland. It draws attention to periods of settlement, historical events and previous uses, while also providing a visionary outlook on future uses of the site.
On the Hubland, an area used for decades as an American base, a modern, forward-looking district is being created.
The themed gardens are intended to provide inspiration on how we want to live and live in the future and how we can respond to social change. In the form of "leaps in time", the gardens show thematic parallel worlds.
