The new, open Seepark Körbecke creates a direct visual link from the town to the lake. It is characterised by a clear structure - by striking entrances and transitions to the town, by attractive views and pathways to the lake, as well as by good zoning and functional equipment of different quality areas. The topography plays a special role through terracing with different usage zones. Generous sunbathing and recreation areas down to the lake invite to play or to linger on a multi-levelled lawn. The lake stage, which, depending on the water level, protrudes into the lake, offers a seating area directly on the water with its stepped arrangement.
The Seepark Körbecke was awarded at the nrw.landschaftsarchitektur.preis 2018.
