Oberkirch is a medieval town with a stream flowing through it. In recent years, urban redevelopment measures have been implemented for the town center and the adjacent areas.
stadt landschaft plus was commissioned with the redesign of the playground on Scheffelplatz and the associated planting plans. In collaboration with ZIMMER.OBST, we designed a piece of play equipment that is reminiscent of the Walachai fish - the heraldic animal of the local carnival association "Stabhalterei Walachei", which organizes the annual Bachfest. As part of the renovation of the footbridge and the stream wall, the hedge was removed to allow a clear view of the water. In its place, the historic railing from the town center is now continued.
In addition, we were also entrusted with investigations into the realization of a tree ring according to the competition concept of the Holl Wieden Partnership from 2014 and the renewal of the streets Südring, Nordring and Untere Grendelstraße. Our work was based on an analysis of the inner-city connecting routes to the city center.
