Berlin is known for its numerous backyards, which, however, rarely present their full beauty and diversity.
This is how the development of the temporary gardens at KunstWerk in Auguststraße in Berlin Mitte began ten years ago. In the first year there were still different trees (of which a few are still preserved today), in the second year there were already different climbing plants and in the third year the hops (Humulus) grew in no time as a vertical mono planting and greened the courtyard. In the following years there were sometimes willows and sometimes tulips between a fallow vegetation.
These productions have always given the place a new face and amazed many people, who then also gladly settled in the Café Bravo, which is located in the courtyard, for refreshment in the green.
