Somewhat hidden behind the Hamburger Bahnhof is the Tafelgarten. This garden has its name not without reason. Everyone can try out their artistic skills with chalk on a large blackboard.
The freely accessible garden has a west-oriented wooden terrace, which is bordered by a plantation of grasses, herbs and flowers and is bordered by railway tracks, so that an area of cinder blocks spans next to it.
The existing vegetation of birch trees was included in the planning. A small waterhole in or below the wooden terrace is, depending on the frequency of rainfall, sometimes filled, sometimes empty and in some winters even frozen over.
