Dipl.-Ing. Barbara Sörries-Herrnkind has been running the planning office as a
freelance garden and landscape architect in Bad Emstal, North Hesse, since 1988.
The professional beginnings were in the parental gardening and landscaping business in Ludwigsburg, Baden-Württemberg.

Studies garden and landscape design at the Technical University of Berlin and first employment in the planning office Wolfgang Miller for the Federal Garden Show Berlin 1985.

Followed by several years of independent professional station in Elmshorn, Schleswig-Holstein.

In 1988, the planning office is established with the first orders in the area of Kassel.

With employees and trainees, orders are planned and processed today throughout Germany and abroad.
Practical planning and construction supervision of home gardens, public and semi-public open spaces.

Our planning and design style focuses on the idea of a harmonious open space design.
Every space has the potential to become a harmonious retreat.
Like a puzzle, the respective space to be designed develops. Through the client, the environment and various possibilities of our profession, redesigned oases are created - fallow open spaces become valuable islands of experience and tranquility.
From 26 years of self-employment, Qi-Gardens gardens have developed.
Further education, research, book projects, customer and show gardens show more and more the need of customers, for their own, relaxing places of regeneration, which allow an increased quality of life.
Our office also offers seminars and lectures on this multi-faceted design.
