Seattle Civic Square is the final piece of the Deattle Civic Center Master Plan.

Once completed, the complex, with its tower and public plaza in front, will provide a variety of uses for retail, busness, and residents.

Both the tower and the flexible open space are designed to accommodate a wide range of activities, from large-scale events to individual activities.

The backbone of the design and the central art element of the plaza is formed by the water cascade, which reflects the nature of the surrounding area.

As the water flows down the steep steps of the plaza, it represents the movement of water from the surrounding mountains to Puget Sound.

The collected rainwater from the roof and surrounding paved areas will feed the water elements while being a part of sustainable stormwater management.
