The Domnick Art Collection is located on the Oberensinger Höhe near Nürtingen: in the middle of a
landscape conservation area, with a view of the edge of the Swabian Alb. Self-confident and very modern, the clear, almost forbidding-looking concrete building by the architect Stohrer stands in its park to this day. Accordingly
carefully, the outdoor facilities of the Domnick Collection were revised in terms of design and technology.
The soft, landscaped path that leads to the garden's iron sculptures has been consistently closed to form a circular route and, thanks to the corten steel edge that encloses it, is in dialogue with the park situation: it is cut into terrain depressions; if the terrain rises, it is laid on top. The reopened park of the Domnik Collection welcomes its visitors calmly and generously. It is neither a reconstruction nor a replica, but a subtle further development in the spirit of its original owner. In his eyes, the garden should correspond to a natural landscape, architecturally structured by trees - traversed in loops by a narrow path that makes the rusting sculptures visible from all sides. House and park as a combination of abstract art and designed nature: clearly defined, full of tension and yet of great harmony and atmosphere.
