In the course of the expansion of the violin making school, buildings from different eras will be connected. The restructuring of the interior, including the relocation of the main entrance, has resulted in a new allocation of the open spaces.
The main design goal was to embed the architecture in a quiet, rural environment.
The focal point of the complex is the new central, square-shaped access zone, which connects all entrances and buildings and serves as a break and lounge area. The new main entrance and the terrace of the cafeteria are accessible from here via three steps, a handicapped accessible entrance as well as handicapped parking spaces are located in the parking lot north of the building.
A small number of car and bicycle parking spaces are allocated on the eastern forecourt directly adjacent to the future administration building. The majority of the bicycle parking spaces are located near the entrance. The timber yard will be accessed from the south via Prinz-Eugen-Strasse.
The valuable tree population will be preserved as far as possible and integrated into the design concept. Design elements are the hedges or walls along the edges of the property, the "wood pile benches" and the new perennial plantings in the central area.
