Height-stepped lounge with bathing possibility as a homely garden enrichment

The sun terrace is integrated by a refreshing ornamental pool, which is accessible from two sides via generous seating stairs. Towards the front, the natural stone plateau forms a step. It seems to consist of two slabs slightly shifted against each other, floating above the water level. In the evening, a hidden light band underlines this apparent lightness.
The back of the lounge is bordered by a wooden wall. This makes the area stand out visually from the hedge and gives the area a clear setting.
To ensure that the existing tall cherry laurel hedge retains sufficient root space, the deep founded structure with the water basin is set back a good metre from the hedge.
The rows of copses to the side give rhythm and a characterful structure to the garden boundary.
The planting underneath consists in the sunny area of a lavender ribbon swinging along, enlivened here and there by red-leaved ornamental grass.
