Landscape planning and urban development aspects provide subject areas here. Nackartenzlingen, as a town on the Neckar and the Erms, wants to pay more attention to this special feature in future planning, taking flood protection into account.

The workshop weekend was a celebration in every respect, with a wealth of ideas and carried by a new sense of community among the citizens. In coordination with the basic planning idea, the ideas and wishes of the citizens were taken into consideration and implemented. The result is a concept that can develop gradually and is sure of its identification with the citizens.

The market place and entrance to the town: the dominant theme of the square is the connection and opening to the Neckar. The large Neckar ramp slopes gently towards the river, the existing flood embankment is led around as a flight of steps. Framed by a café, marquee and plane tree roof, it is a meeting point and stage.

The area around the church: a new town centre is being created. New view openings and way connections are arranged in a high-quality way. Opposite the city hall the church drch receives a generous place organization with a water stair an appropriate surrounding field.

The Schulstrasse: is restructured by light archways, new pavements, lamps and water channels, exciting new path situations arise, as well as a place with a water-light sculpture, which invites to sit.
