Adjacent to the historic old town of Bönnigheim, on the site of a former yarn factory, a quatier with town square, park and naturally flowing stream.
The Stadtpak with its exposed mill stream forms the backbone of the city park. The natural meandering of a stream is incorporated and reflected in all design elements of the park.
In the main area, the park borders the newly designed Castle Square. The heart of this square is formed by a large water feature. The water flows over different areas into a Reinigugnsbeet. Different water levels invite to play.
The planted soil zone cleans the water before it is fed to the millstream. A wooden deck, 15cm deeper than the square, and a long bench under a group of trees invite you to linger and observe.
The rear area of the castle, which is currently used as a parking lot, is to be transformed into a garden. This is based on the historical garden planning of the late baroque.
