Situated in the unique landscape of the typical English countryside, the overall ensemble blends in harmoniously. Its ground plan is reminiscent of the shape of the "crankshaft". The main building forms a circular unit with the Formal Lake, the high transparency merges inside and outside.

Function and aesthetics of the water concept complement each other, let the lake surface act as a mirror of the architecture and the sky. The water of Formal Lake is continuously recirculated, using it to cool the building. It flows through the "heat exchanger system" in the building via grooves, a purification biotope and switchable computer filters. The water exits at the artistically staged water cascade.

Flow simulations and thermodynamic studies, as well as the design of the cleaning biotopes for the treatment of the cooling water were further contents of the collaboration. The overflow of Formal Lake and the surface water from the parking lots are purified and fed into Natural Lake. This fulfils a buffer function and is connected to the River Bourne.
