The city of Renningen has developed a further construction area with a total of approx. 500 residential units in the eastern connection to the implemented residential area "Schnallenäcker I". Multi-storey residential buildings, as well as single-family, semi-detached and terraced houses offer space for approx. 1,200 residents. The development plan provides for a 40-metre wide green corridor in a north-south direction as the central caesura of the development area. This green corridor was to be designed as a park with numerous functions (children's play, local recreation, rainwater retention, district square, youth area, etc.). Furthermore, a noise barrier as well as the traffic green within the construction area was to be planned.
The open spaces in the district park were designed as multifunctional green spaces. For example, above-ground green retention troughs were combined with play and recreation areas, and underground rainwater retention systems were integrated into the planning.
